The BBC News Tigrinya’s report on 16th May 2021 confirmed that at least two children, named Natnael and Samrawit, were killed in the shelling. When the shelling began, children in the neighborhood were scared and gathered in the house of Mr. Biru when the bomb hit the house and collapsed, killing the two children instantly.
